Can I return multiple files to one Turnitin assignment in Moodle?
Yes if your teacher has created an assignment with Parts or several submission files. 

How large file can be submitted?
Turnitin is able to receive a maximum file size of 100 MT. If the file is larger, there are two options:
a)  the file can be submitted as a two parts (note: teacher has to  allow it beforehand or 
b) the file is submitted as a text without pictures (Turnitin cannot investigate similarity with image-based data).

What does the report's percentage tell us? Is there a certain limit?  The percentage is always relative depending on the scope of the work.  Percentage may include correctly made references, direct quotes and titles of works. It can therefore be large and it doesn´t tell about plagiarism. Therefore, it is important to remember that the report and the similarities found must always be interpreted

Are the dissertation sub-articles saved as Turnitin's reference material?

Anyone with JYU M365 account can use M365 Word Turnitin Draft Coach for checking the similarity of thier files. Those files are not saved to Turnitin archive.

When JY's researchers are reviewing the article's script in a common Moodle area,  the documents will not be saved to Turnitin archive. When the publisher accepts the script, the work will be saved most likely as a Turnitin background material. Most international publishers use Turnitin and its iThenticate application.
